Synopsis

The war is still omnipresent , the reconstruction in full operation and the Luxembourger convulsively holds on to his traditions. The church still has a large authority and only slowly the little Grand-Duchy opens up for the outside world. The dream of a united Europe and the sportif attainments of Josy Barthel and Charly Gaul put Luxemburg on the international map. Director Andy Bausch mixes Interviews, archival footage and fiction scenes into a entertaining portrait of a decade.
