My Life in Versailles (La vie de château)

When her parents died, Violette, 8, was placed with her uncle Régis, a maintenance worker at the Palace of Versailles. At first, she hates this sinister ogre who doesn't like children and who didn't even ask to take care of her. So this rebellious little girl decides not to talk to him and runs away as soon as she has the chance. But slowly, Régis and Violette become acquainted and get closer to form a new family. Behind the scenes of the Sun King's castle, Violette will assert herself, get to know herself and grow thanks to Régis, her best friend Malcolm, the social worker who watches over her, and all the friends she will make.
